DSA Theory Test
The DSA Theory test is split into 14 topics
There are a total of 963 questions
The test is in TWO parts
1 The number of questions you'll be asked to answer in this touch screen computer test is 50 in 57 minutes. The pass mark for the multiple choice part of the theory test is 43 out of 50.
2 Hazard Perception test, which consists of 14 video clips with a maximum score of 75. You must score 43 or above.
You have to pass BOTH PARTS to pass the Theory Test.
Practical Driving Test
The test will include an eyesight test (if you fail this, your test will not continue).
You must then answer TWO simple "Show me, Tell me" questions.
Your general driving will then be examined, including two reversing exercises. The reversing exercises will be chosen from:
- reversing around a corner
- turning in the road
- reverse parking
- reverse bay park
You may also be asked to carry out an emergency stop exercise.
A standard driving test takes about 40 minutes.
If at the end you accumulate no more than 15 minor faults and no serious faults you will have passed your test.
Pass Plus
Pass plus is designed by the Driving Standards Agency ( DSA ) and is targeted at NEW drivers.
The course will introduce you to many new towns, road types and traffic conditions on a route chosen to provide a variety of motoring conditions.
The course will help you to gain safe driving experience, become a more skilful driver and reduce your risk of having a car accident.
Once you complete your Pass Plus course, you will gain a certificate of completion and this is accepted by many leading insurance companies to reduce your car insurance premium

- All weather driving
- Rural roads
- Night driving
- Dual carriageways
- Motorway driving
There is no exam at the end of this course.
